Merton Fields Millennium Green is a 6.5 acres site in Upper Stratton, Swindon, Wiltshire.
Some sources show that this Green did not complete and is not a Millennium Green.
History of the Green[]
Merton Fields was one of the original pilot plots for the Millennium Green project.
Millennium Feature[]
The feature is made up of three sculptures, a caterpillar, a chrysalis and a butterfly, created by local sculptor, Robert Carruthers. The sculptures are featured in Issue no. 4 of the Millennium Green Newsletter in 1998.
